Thinking of Mother's Day

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan

Such a sweet thought ...but....Gu uahhhh hah haha. I am laughing.

I guess I was just never that kind of mother when it came to pie. I think I remember saying something like 'oooops how did I cut those slices so small' after having eaten 3 pieces to leave the 5 pieces that were needed.

I mean we are talking pie after all. And when you talk pie, black berry pie is my favorite with vanilla ice cream! See....

Would you really NOT slice those remaining 4 pieces into 8 and eat three to be able to serve 5!!   I ask you...

I'm over it,
I'm so over it.

Trusting people...
you can
and then again
you can't.

I hate being in the position of calling a scammer, a scammer, but you have to draw the line 'somewhere' and take some action. So I am acting after todays mail delivery or non delivery as the case may be and then going through the process of negative feedback leaving and paypal filing to get my whopping 10 bucks back from an unscrupulous etsy seller. Why bother? Because her feed back is at 50 percent, so she sells and rips from half of her peeps, and sells and mails to the other half.

I was pretty irritated, but I declare as of now, I am over it and taking some action.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

That is just profound. I wish I'd thought of it but it is a quote from somebody, I found it as I was looking for the meaning of "Zadok blessing". Wow, what I don't know about the Bible is huge and vast. But it's funny how these 'stumbling upons' I find just sort of fits the situation. I really can just think myself into a stupor some times, and come out of it and still be dwelling on my irritation. That is a self imposed destiny.

Does your character exceed or equal your talent and ambition?
Character is who you really are in the dark (within your heart) when temptation and evil are present.

From the same source as above, again, not my own thinking.
Words well said!

The Stone Was Rolled Away

Mark 16:1-8
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body.

Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.

As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen!

He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' "
