Just a couple of thoughts today, in a blog I found a rant of sorts about how pictures of the blog owner's artwork were used without permission on http://www.polyvore.com/ I followed a few of her links to other posts and other artists are having the same problems as well. I went to the site, there is nothing of mine there that is obvious, but there is no way I would even know how to search for it. I would be livid if I found a site like the one above using my work without permission. I am just sharing the information, it might be a problem for you as well if they are using your art.

I am taking this inch in my blog to thank everybody who contributes to Creative Commons on Flickr. I LOVE photography, especially computer photo sites such as Flickr Creative Commons that allow you to use their photos for your blog enhancement. I also go to any free photo site that Google pulls up and lavishly use their photos. I would be humilitated to find myself in the position of using your art without the right to do so, let alone downloading it on someone elses website.

"You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."

Second thought, It's been 3 days for me with sick grandchildren and my creativity looks like a popped ballon at a birthday party.

I guess it's a blessing in disguise, it lets me know how much I value my creative moments and my health when I do get a creative moment.

They have worn me out.

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all.

Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach.

Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."
